Tapping back into the ring - sorry for the long time no talky talky. Summer has astronomically come and gone yet my liver and sense of time, responsibility and meaning of life still seem to be so suspended...
Me?: cherry picked the last of summer, living between bottle, beach, cabin, mountain, boat, and grill-yo-ass-off-roof partay mode for more moons than I really deserved. Whateva! And...(drum roll, please) Johnny's been half way across the frickin country and back in that time too (are you reading this people? Booyakasha! Heeeee's baackk!!!)
All I wanted was a little fun this summer and now, even better: With my #1 Tonto back in the saddle, I'm chocked full of the essential vitamins and minerals that growing bands need to make a balanced rock n roll recording. The royal we now harbor that savory itch to slam the fingers to ivories, toes to tom-toms and tonsils to tinsel town for a hardcore Q4 run. We're settling quite nicely back in the shed and it feels like the first time, feels like the very first time!
Like that familiar chill becoming in the autumn night air, we absolutely miss your guts and we're comin attcha live:
October 29th, 10pm - THE NATIONAL UNDERGROUND
November 23rd, 9pm - ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL
Please come on down and swap some summer stories with us over a lusty beverage, won't ya?!
Luv and good happiness stuff,
John & Brett
Rockwood Music Hall - Sunday 8/3 10pm FREE
Look, here's the dealio,
#1 John and I would really really really enjoy seeing you down at this next/last show of the summer. We lost our lease, everything has to go go go. "Special" financing available - no reasonable offer refused.
#2 This will be John's last one before he's off to L.A. and I'm gonna tap-out for a short break as well, recharge my warp drive and lick up the remaining summer good times, you know - make some stories to tell our grand kids about.
#3 I've got some new tunes simmering on the fire (see last bit of #2), the studio awaits, and I've got heady plans to play some zip codes that start higher than 60000 and ones that even begin with letters (oh my!) before year end. But anyway, right now, I'm basically calling you out:
Rockwood Music Hall - Sunday 8/3 10pm
For serious yo, it would be extra sparkly asti spumante cool if you could make the trip to see Johnny off in style. And bring your cameras and glitter pens cause he said he'll autograph any part of your body, any part!.
And thank you for your support,
We've got a few more things coming for the final jeopardy round of summertime and I think you should take particular note to the special hints I'm throwing at ya. Let's take Shows for 600!:

We'll then probably be looking at a very short commercial break and then it's onto a new season of fun fun fun.
Now, let me give you those hints : "What is, Where am I coming to see John's last NYC shows?", or "What is, Where can I get the newest tasty BC listen-ables and wear-ables?" or even "What is, "How many drinks can we feed John until he falls off his drum stool?"
Get it? Good. Write your answer down and then please come tune in if you can, we'd love to see you.

Saturday Nite Baby! BAR FOUR, 10pm
So, while I'm still sorta up to my neck in PHP, ASP, HTTP, CMS and generally down with OPP, I wanna remind you of the show tomorrow for the folk in the Slope:
This show will be a little more intimate and impromptu as I will be sans my rhythmic Tonto. Sharing the evening with (solo) BC shall be lovelies, Jamie Rae (8pm) and Shanna Zell (9pm).
Please go check out: I Want You.
Good talk, hope to see you tomorrow,
Hope your summer is off to a great start! I'm still piecing together the last couple of beautiful nights, which is currently a plus in my book.
I hope to see ya at Wednesday's show!
And I know, (sing it, baby) it's my own damn fault.

As long as we can keep our proverbial poop together for the show, we'll flash you some brand newdittys Please please please come down for a Colorado kool aid with us. We freakin miss you and want to make sure that you know, we have a full 2 scoops of raisins for this show.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the manhattan sun where the car horns blow.
The hammer of the John Embree will drive your butt to a new show,
To fight the horde, singing and crying Brett Conti , I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be:
FEB 25th 7:30 THE ANNEX, for shore.
Ah, ah, We come from the land of the tape and studio,
From the rehearsal place where the snow still blows.
How soft your ears so green, can whisper tales of FMNY,
Of how we calmed the tides at the bar. We are your Almond Joy.
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be no, no..... no:
and then MAR 1st 8:00 BAR 4 for rehab.
So now you'd better stop and reschedule all your ruins,
For Brett and John can win the day despite of all your boozing...
Weeeeeeeeee,
Heya, It was an unusually late one running late: Sunday night around 1am when we finally hit the stage. A lot of you just could not be there. And we understand. So, we'll bring some of it to you. I'll be upforking choice cuts from our most recently recorded Rockwood Music Hall show. Head over to myspace for Turn Around . It's a brand new number that we've just laid down in the studio but may probably not be able to release proper until we get some ducks in a row (read: please buy a t-shirt ). We're sorting through all the stuff we've been recording over the last weeks, drawing pictures and making wine outta the grapes. That'll take up most of the month. We'll be throwing down somewhere in the city sometime tba in the f e b, I'm damn near sure of it. We've also got our sights set on som them music festy thing-a-ma-gigs this year and all the merch pennies we make help us go to space camp this summer and also play in towns like: Austin, Toronto, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Newark and London. There's more oops upside your head simmering on the horizon, but I'll save that for next time. You rock.
Happy New Year,
We've got some great stuff on the 008 side of things and hope that we'll continue to see your shiney happy faces around.
Please have a fuzzy, safe and memorable new year. We'd totally love to be your "first" of the new year:
